Outdated system at RK Studio: MFB cancels NOC

The no-objection certificate (NOC) issued to the iconic R K Studio by the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) has been cancelled.

The MFB has initiated action against RK Studio administration for violating the fire safety norms due to which a major fire occurred in RK Studio.

Notice for non compliance of the NOC from MFB has already been issued.

"During investigation of RK Studio fire, non compliance of NOC issued by MFB in the year 2014, was observed, said Chief fire officer PS Rahandale", adding that "the NOC to R K Studio is therefore cancelled."

"The MFB has also issued show cause notice for prosecution under Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act 2006 for one non compliance of the fire safety measures stipulated in the NOC causing Rapid Spread of fire," the press statement read.
