The Queensland government is planning to impose fine on teens and parents, who host wild Facebook parties.

Commissioner Ian Stewart said that the parties were financially and physically costly to the community, News.com.au reported.

He said that to assemble 20 or 30 police in a very short time in the middle of the night often costs above 50,000 dollars when account wages and the follow-up are taken into account.

The laws set to be introduced by the government, will impose a penalty of 7,370 dollars on minor and their parents could be forced to foot the bill for them, if there kids are incapable of paying it.

Police will also use special buses to take drunk, unruly teens from wild parties to watch houses where they will be held until picked up by their parents.

The crackdown follows a spate of out-of-control parties, involving hundreds of teens invited on Facebook.

Under the laws, jail of up to a year and fines up to 12,100 dollars could be issued to a person who organises a party that gets out of control; parents who permit a child to organise an out-of-control event; gatecrashers causing a party to become out of control; and those who disobey directions.
