Indian tennis ace Leander Paes along with Australian partner John Peers have advanced to the second round of the men's doubles event in the Shanghai Open on Tuesday.
Paes and Peers secured a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over the Spanish-Italian duo of Tommy Robredo and Andreas Seppi in an opening round contest that lasted over an hour.
The Indo-Aussie pair will now face Daniel Nestor and Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the second round clash.
