Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has urged that negotiations on Kashmir issue on an equal basis must be done for better relations with India.
According to Dawn News, General Sharif said that it was important to resolve the Kashmir issue for long term peace in South Asia.
He also said that Pakistan is in war against terrorism and aimed to eliminate militancy from the country entirely.
Pakistan is implementing the National Action Plan (NAP) and the country will soon defeat terrorism, said General Sharif.
The army chief also commented on Zarb-i-Azb operation saying it was making progress and that all terrorists were being targeted.
