The Pakistan Cricket Board has reiterated its 'zero tolerance' policy on doping as suspended star spinner Yasir Shah appeared before a medical panel of the board on Monday to explain his position.
The 29-year-old spinner was handed a provisional suspension by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday after being charged with an anti-doping rule violation.

The sample Yasir provided in an in-competition test, which was conducted on 13 November 2015, was found to contain the presence of chlortalidone, a Prohibited Substance which appears in Section 5 of the WADA Prohibited List (in the category of Specified Substances).
Reflecting on the issue, the PCB stated that it has a zero tolerance policy towards the use of prohibited substances in cricket and has in place a strict regime which monitors and regularly imparts education relating to the ICC anti doping code, Sport24 reported.
Yasir, who was adjudged as the Player of the Series during the recently concluded Test series against England in the United Arab Emirates, is currently ranked fourth in the longer format of the game.
The spinner has seven days to decide whether to request a test on a second urine sample and faces a possible ban of two to four years.
