Family of South African sprint runner Oscar Leonard Carl Pistorius said he was indulging in self-harming activities, dismissing reports of his scuffle at Johannesburg nightclub.
According to reports, Pistorius had poked a man at the nightclub.
The man identified as Jared Mortimer said in a tweet that the athlete had poked him.
The athlete's uncle denied the reports and further remarked about his sensitive emotional state, Sky News reports.
Pistorius said in a statement that Jared Mortimer had asked him about his trial for the murder of his girlfriend but he denied getting into a row.
His family further claimed that they had been counselling Pistorius to deal with his loneliness.
