The murder trial of South African Paralympics athlete Oscar Pistorius will now reportedly run until the middle of May following a mutual decision from both sides to agree on an extension.
The court in Guateng province has reportedly revealed that the trial, which has already overrun its initial timeframe with the prosecution not yet completing its case, would continue till 4 April, and then adjourn for a week before resuming until 16 May.
According to the BBC, the court said that both the parties involved in the trial have agreed to the dates, as the trial has entered its fourth week, with five more witnesses expected to be called by the prosecution.
Pistorius, who is on trial for shooting his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, denies shooting Steenkamp intentionally on Valentine's Day last year adding that he mistook her for an intruder.
