Prime Minister Narendra Modi has condemned the terror attack in Kenya.

"Terror attack in Kenya is horrific. It is most distressing that a university campus was attacked in this manner. Utterly condemnable," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.

Earlier on Thursday, at least 150 people were killed as gunmen attacked the Garissa University College in south central Kenya.

The university was set up in 2011 and is the only public university in the region. It has a staff of 75.
