PM Modi, ex-French Prez discuss global issues of mutual interest

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday met former French president Nicolas Sarkozy and the duo discussed regional and global issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, Sarkozy congratulated the Prime Minister for the success of demonetisation, as well as on his party's success in the recent Assembly elections in several states, according to a statement.

The statement added that Prime Minister Modi on his part congratulated Sarkozy on the publication and success of his latest book, "Tout pour la France".
