Prime Minister Narendra Modi today paid tributes to freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his 107th birth anniversary.
"On his birth anniversary, I bow to the proud son of India, Shaheed Bhagat Singh. His undying patriotism and courage continue to inspire," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh was born to Sardar Kishan Singh and Vidyavati on this day in 1907.
Nicknamed as "Bhaganwala" by his elders, meaning the 'lucky one', the great martyr lived up to his name by playing an unforgettable role in the country's freedom struggle.
