PM Modi wishes Sonia Gandhi on her 68th birthday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday wished Congress president Sonia Gandhi a long and healthy life on her 68th birthday.
"Best wishes to Congress President Smt. Sonia Gandhi on her birthday. May almighty bless her with a long and healthy life," tweeted PM Modi.
Meanwhile, the latter has decided not to celebrate in view of the recent tragic Naxal attack in Jammu and Kashmir and Chhattisgarh, and in solidarity with the martyred army and police Personnel.
Sonia has also asked the Congress persons to follow her instruction.
Jammu and Kashmir, which is in the midst of its five-phase state assembly elections, faced four terror attacks last week, which were aimed at undermining the democratic process.
Earlier on December 1, the Maoists killed 14 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district.
