External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Tuesday said that the police report suggests that the Zambian student of the Parul University who was found hanging in his room two days back had committed suicide.
"I have got the reports of the death of a Zambian national from Gujarat Government. Police probe suggests it is a case of suicide. A suicide note has been found," Swaraj said.
Earlier on April 8, a Zambian student of the Parul University in Vadodara allegedly hanged himself in his hostel room.
As per sources, a 22-year old, second year civil engineering student, Sakala Andrew Zite was found hanging from a ceiling fan.
According to Waghodia police, Sakala left behind a suicide note without mentioning any specific reason for taking the extreme step.
