President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday extended greetings on the eve of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi padava, Cheti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba
"On the joyous occasion of Chaitra Sukladi, Ugadi, Gudi Padava, Chetti Chand, Navreh and Sajibu Cheiraoba, I send greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens celebrating these festivals in different parts of the country," said Prez.
"These festivals herald the advent of spring time - a time of joy, hope and creativity as nature unravels its limitless bounty. May the celebrations of these festivals promote among our diverse people the values of tolerance and fellow feeling and strengthen their traditional bonds of amity, understanding and harmony," he added.
He further asked to together pledge to re-dedicate ourselves to the task of achieving inclusive development and equitable growth for the well-being of all.
