Reacting to BJP leader and former home secretary R.K. Singh's allegation that "money was taken for distribution of party tickets", Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday said the BJP distributes tickets after much deliberations.
When asked whether R.K. Singh's allegations would affect the BJP's prospects in Bihar, Singh claimed that the BJP-led NDA would win the polls by a heavy margin, as they have the support of the people of Bihar.
Meanwhile, terming R.K. Singh's allegations as "irresponsible" and "baseless", BJP national secretary Shrikant Sharma said the former bureaucrat was new to the party and would gradually come to know it.
Speaking about the CBI raids on official premises of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, Sharma said if there was any morality left in the Himachal Chief Minister, he must immediately resign, as when he was steel minister, there were cases of corruption against him, and when he became the chief minister, there are cases of corruption against him.
"In fact, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi should have sacked him, but its futile on our part to expect it from the party which is mother of all corruption," Sharma added.
