Pakistan cricket chief selector Haroon Rasheed has said doors for out-of favour players such as Younis Khan and Saeed Ajmal are still open, and they can be called up if the team needs them.
Rasheed said he had huge respect for these two players for their great contributions, but added that at this point in time, their inclusion in the ODI squad was not appropriate, the Dawn reports.
He praised Younis as an important player of high calibre for the Test team.
On Ajmal, he said his performance is being continuously monitored.
Ajmal, who is making a comeback to competitive cricket with a re-moulded action, returned with impressive figures of 8/100 in Worcestershire's innings defeat of Hampshire.
