Rescue operations are underway in Malin village of Pune district's Ambegaon tehsil where a landslide had occurred due to heavy rainfall earlier this morning.
According to the locals ten persons have died and more than a hundred are still trapped.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) had sent seven teams for rescue operation
Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan had also informed earlier that out of the population of 715 in Ambegaon village around 44 houses were swept away and 160 people are feared trapped.
