Richard Gere has revealed that his divorce from his wife, Carey Lowell, actually helped him in his latest acting project.
The 65-year-old actor, who split from Lowell after 11 years, said that since he was in the midst of the divorce while shooting for 'Time Out of Mind,' his emotions were "on the surface" which was helpful, the New York Post reported.
The upcoming film also stars Jena Malone and Kyra Sedgwick, and revolves around a homeless man who tries to reconnect with his estranged daughter.
