Ricky Gervais has slammed hunters who kill animals and called them evils following his spat with 'Eye of the Hunter' co-host Rebecca Francis.
The English comedian tweeted that now the time has come to take a stand against this terrible sexism in the noble sport of trophy hunting, as whether its men or women they are equally evils and worthless if they hunt animals, Us Magazine reported.
Francis claimed in a statement that her co-star used his power and influence to target women in the hunting industry that made thousands of people to call for her death and rape her children.
Notably, the 53-year-old actor was shocked when saw a picture of Francis lying down with a dead giraffe and smiling and aggressively tweeted that that how can she even smile after killing an animal and taking smiling picture with it, after which the NBC show host received multiple death threats, but she defended y saying that she preserve animals by providing locals with its meat.
