Rihanna's concert in Nice, France has been canceled following the horrific Bastille Day attack in the French Riviera city that killed at least 80 people on Thursday night.

Christian Estrosi, the current Mayor of Nice, has confirmed that the 28-year-old singer's concert will no longer go ahead at the Allianz Stadium, reports the Mirror.

Meanwhile, the 'Kiss It Better' singer's representative informed that the singer, who was in the area for her Anti World Tour, "is safe."

A truck crashed into a crowd in the French resort of Nice, leaving at least 80 dead and scores injured in an attack after a Bastille Day fireworks display.

Estrosi said flags would be lowered across the city on Friday.

The truck driver has been identified as Nice Matin, a man of Tunisian origin from Nice. His identity papers were found in the cab of the lorry, Sky News reported.

Reportedly, the man, believed to be 31, fired on crowds of people before he was shot dead by police.

Residents have been told to stay indoors as the emergency services work at the scene.
