Rohit Sharma slammed a century (127*) on Test debut for India against West Indies on day two of first Test at Eden Gardens.
Rohit became the 14th Indian to score a century on debut and joined the exclusive club, that includes former skippers Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag and Mohammed Azharuddin among other top batsmen.
Under pressure, where Shane Shillingford dominated the proceedings, Sharma along with MS Dhoni built a valuable 73-run partnership.
Sharma consolidated India's position by sharing a stand of 198 with Ravichandran Ashwin.
Meanwhile, on the second day of the Test match India scored 354/6 (102.0 overs), whereas West Indies scored 234.
