After months of speculations, Saif Ali Khan has finally confirmed that he and his wife Kareena Kapoor are expecting their first child in December this year.
In a statement, the 45-year-old actor confirmed the news, saying, "My wife and I would like to announce that we are expecting our first child in December. We would like to thank our well wishers for their blessings and support and also the press for their discretion and patience.
The 'Udta Punjab' actress had earlier expressed her desire to start a family during her interview with Vogue India for its July edition.
"I want to be a married working woman. I have a husband, I would like to start a family. I can't give up everything and move to LA. That's not me," she said.
This will be Kareena's first child and Saif's third.
He has two children from his first marriage to Amrita Singh.
