Filmmakers from Latin America and Spain have teamed up to create a new narrative of five short stories based on a common theme under the development project of Santiago International Film Festival, '28'.
Stars, that participated from five countries, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Spain, will play off the themes of the 28-day female cycle, paralleled with the four-week lunar cycle, confirmed Variety.
Ranging from classic slasher-thriller to sci-fi musical to psychological drama, each story will feature a female lead who will be meant to break the mold of the 'damsel in distress' trope in the horror genre.
The script for the stories will be written by Sandra Arriagada and produced by the Luciano A. Rojas Foundation.
