Hollywood actor Sarah Jessica Parker's attorney has come out in her defense as she faces accusations of keeping $150,000 worth of jewelry from Kat Florence Design.
Speaking in her defense, her lawyer, Ira Schreck, said that the allegations are false. Ira claimed that Parker was under contract to Kat Florence and was asked to keep the jewellery so that she could wear it on red carpets and other events when appropriate, Us Weekly reported.
Ira also clarified that Parker would never hold onto anything belonging to someone else and that she has been asking ever since Kat Florence wrongfully stopped paying her to have the pieces returned but Kat Florence didn't seem interested in getting them back.
Earlier on Wednesday, Page Six reported that the Sex and the City star is being sued by Kat Florence Design for not returning some accessories, including $40,706.72 earrings and a $27,115 ring that she borrowed back in 2016.
According to the report Parker and Kat Florence Design have been in a legal battle ever since their joint venture failed.
