The 2018 American Music Awards nominations have been announced and American singers Cardi B and Drake are leading the awards with 8 nominations each.
The Two will be pitted against each other in the top category- artist of the year. The nomination in this category also includes Imagine Dragons, Post Malone, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift, People reported.
Meanwhile, XXXTentation has bagged two nominations including favorite new artist of the year. The American rapper was shot and killed on June 18 while leaving a motorsports dealership in Florida.
Musical couple Beyonce and JAY-Z scored a joint nomination for favorite tour of the year, alongside Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and U2.
Taylor Swift, who has already won 19 AMAs so far, is nominated in 4 categories. The 'Gorgeous' singer is merely three wins away from beating Whitney Houston's record for the most AMAs by a female artist.
The award show will be broadcasted on October 9 on ET live.
