Authorities in Jamshedpur have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC following a clash between two communities over an alleged eve-teasing incident.
"Police investigation is underway, Section 144 has been ordered to control the situation," said Deputy Commissioner Amitabh Kaushal.
According to reports, the administration has appealed to people to not pay heed to rumours being spread in connection with the clashes.
