The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex closed at 146.99 points up to stand at 28,092.79 on Friday.
Meanwhile, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed 40.00 points up to stand at 8,484.90.
UBL and Bajaj Finserv LTD. were among the top gainers of group A with an increase of 8.53 percent and 6.33 percent along with PVR and Union Bank with an increase of 5.78 percent and 5.13 percent respectively, while the top losers of group A include JP POWER and Jindal Steel with a decrease of 5.40 percent and 5 percent along with Eicher Motors LTD and PMCFIN with a decrease of 4.47 percent and 4.15 percent at the close of the markets.
The auto sector is down 62.71 points at 18,982.07 while the banking sector is up 162.99 points at 21,505.16 and the realty sector is down 8.25 points at 1,423.30. The Indian currency is up 0.06 percent at Rs 63.48 per dollar.
