Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has launched the state-run National Health Programme benefiting about 76,000 families in four districts of Balochistan.
The National Health Programme under which 300,000 poor patients are likely to avail free treatment, will initially be launched in Quetta, Loralai, Turbat and Lasbela districts,reports Dawn.
Prime Minister Sharif will also inaugurate various projects, including the gas supply project to Qila Abdullah and Enayatullah Karaiz, along with a project for gas supply to Mastung, Qalat and adjoining areas during his one-day visit.
The Prime Minister is also set inaugurate the construction of an underpass on Brewary Road at Golimar Chowk, Quetta.
These development projects, including the Loralai-Dera Ghazi Khan electricity transmission line, aim to meet energy demands in the province, while generating employment opportunities.
