Simon Cowell had reportedly snubbed X Factor winner Sam Bailey when she tried to get a record deal.
The prison officer from Leicestershire claimed that the 54-year-old music mogul had refused to help her and her friend Julie Nunney after hearing their track called 'Too Late' as they were not on TV, the Mirror reported.
Bailey, who secured the Christmas No.1 with her debut single, revealed that Cowell had liked their record but declined to help.
She won the title after beating Nicholas McDonald in this year's ITV final and according to the Official Charts Company, she has sold 149,000 copies of 'Skyscraper', a cover of a track by Demi Lovato.
