Authorities in Texas, United States, have found the body of a small child.
Police said they are yet to make a positive identification of the body, but believe is the missing three-year-old Sherin Mathews, whose adoptive parents have been notified.
The cause of death is yet to be determined.
Sherin Mathews of Richardson, Texas, was reported missing on October 7, CNN reported, quoting the Richardson Police Department, as saying.
Her father, Wesley Mathews, has told the authorities that he ordered the child to stand next to a tree behind the fence at their home at around 3 a.m. on Oct. 7 as punishment for not drinking her milk and she went missing. He has been charged with child endangerment.
