Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Russian President Vladimir Putin, visited Sirius educational centre situated at Sochi in Russia on Monday where he invited Russian students to visit India.
There he met various Russian children outside the educational centre who welcomed Prime Minister with loud cheers.
"I am thankful to you for giving a good reception. I invite you to visit India as part of an organised tour. I will spend time with you as you would visit India and would arrange conversation of your with Indian children" Prime Minister Modi said.
He further appreciated President Putin and said, "President Putin, if you want to understand him as a human, talk to him personally; his eyes reflect the future of the children which is way different from what the world thinks about him."
He extended his good wishes to children as he said, "You are connected to Russia's future, which plays an important role in establishing peace in the entire world."
Following the event, children took Prime Minister Modi's autographs. One of the children, brought along a glass slab on which Prime Minister Modi wrote a message.
Prime Minister Modi along with President Vladimir also visited the Moya Russia-Ethno centre where he saw various ancient artefacts crafted by Russian artisans and also held talks with local artists.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to depart for India after ending his one-day visit to Sochi.
