'Others', a short film that was premiered on October 23 on Sony Liv has been receiving overwhelming response from the audience.

Directed by Sachin Shinde, an IFDA award recipient, the film crossed more than 7000 views on YouTube within an hour of its release.

The movie is co-produced by two close friends, Rajvir Ahuja of 9 Films, an acclaimed producer and actor, known for movie like 'Fugly' (2014), 'Gollu Aur Pappu' (2014) and 'Girl in Red' (2016) and Sarvesh Tiwari, Founder and the MD of PR Professionals, a leading PR agency based in Gurugram.

"The film is doing really well among the audience and people like the concept. We believe that it would gain tremendous momentum in coming days," said Rajvir Ahuja.

The storyline of the short film is based on boxing, but actually, it is a human-interest story which reflects second-grade treatment meted out to transgender. 'Others' draws the attention of people to facilitate assimilation of neglected society members into the mainstream society so that they too could get equal opportunities and career growth.

"We're extremely delighted to receive such an overwhelming response by the audience. We are highly enthused and look forward to continue association with 9 films in future and we will continue working on films that will deal with important social issues prevailing in the society," said Sarvesh Tiwari.

The movie is based on a fictional character born and brought up in Haryana who wants to fulfill his dream of becoming a boxer.

The shooting of this film was done in a semi-urban location near Gurugram in a town called Narnaul in the state of Haryana. The state is well known for its sports lineage and laurels won by many of its sportsman in wrestling and boxing.

The lead role in the film was played by Shashank Arora, who has previously acted in films like 'Titli', 'Lipstick Under my Burkha', and 'Rock On 2'. Another well-known Bollywood actor, Asif Basra, who played the role of Begum Jaan in the film, has also worked in various Bollywood movies like Freaky Ali, Krrish 3 etc.
