Sony to buy Altair Semiconductor for USD 212 million

Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation Sony has said it will buy Israeli chipmaker Altair Semiconductor for USD 212 million, reports Reuters.
Headquatered in Israel Altair Semiconductor is a developer of high performance single-mode Long Term Evolution (LTE) chipsets.
Meanwhile, the Japanese multinational conglomerate corporation Sony has confirmed that it expects to close the deal by early February.
