Representatives from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Cricket South Africa (CSA) will reportedly meet to work towards resolving scheduling issues around the end-of-year tour to South Africa by India.

According to Sport24, BCCI Honorary Secretary Sanjay Patel and CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat will meet during the upcoming ICC Chief Executives' Committee meeting scheduled for September 16-17 in Dubai.

Although India was initially scheduled to tour South Africa from November 21 to January 19 for three Tests, two Twenty20 internationals and seven ODIs, recent reports said that the BCCI now wants India to play the bare minimum of matches required to fulfill commitments under the ICC's Future Tours Programme (FTP).

Confirming the meeting, Lorgat said that he is looking forward to meeting Patel to work out the best possible schedule under the present circumstances, adding that as custodians, they are responsible for acting in the best interests of the game and the stakeholders.

Thanking the BCCI for facilitating South Africa's return to the 'world family' of cricket nations, Lorgat further stated that they are heartened by the messages of support from fans and commercial partners and expressed his appreciation for their understanding.
