Britney Spears' legal team has expressed serious doubt over the validity of text messages she allegedly sent to her former manager Sam Lutfi.
In the messages, which were released by Lutfi on Twitter, the 32-year-old pop star is said to be complaining about being unhappy and miserable, along with several shocking allegations about her parents and her life under the conservatorship that has been mandated by a Los Angeles court, Radar Online reported.
Sources revealed that the 'Toxic' singer's lawyers have doubts about the validity and the authenticity of the text messages, and believe that they were taken out of context.
Sources revealed that Spears has no contact with her former manager and becomes noticeably upset and agitated whenever he is mentioned.
Lutfi, who was hit with a restraining order in 2008, had sued Spears and her parents, Lynn and Jamie, for libel, breach of contract, and assault, but the lawsuit was ultimately dismissed.
