The YSR Congress Party on Monday stages a protest over a demand for the granting of special status and special position to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
"We demand special status and a special position. We YSCRP, demands special status for public purpose and for public issues", said YSRCP Mla Bhaskar.
The promise of special status, in addition to several other benefits, was made to Andhra Pradesh by Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Parliament during the bifurcation of unified Andhra Pradesh last year.
