Dubbing the Swabhimaan Rally organised by the Mahagathbandan of the Janata Pariwar at Gandhi Maidan as an 'Apmaan' (insult) Rally, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday said he was saddened as a 'Bihari.'
"Kal ki rally haare hue logon ki rally thi, wo swabhimaan nahi apmaan ki rally thi. (Yesterday's rally was a rally of losers. It was not a rally of dignity. Instead, it was an insult rally)," he told media here.
He also said he was deeply saddened by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's comment of comparing himself to emperors Chandragupta Maurya and Ashoka.
"I am deeply saddened as a Bihari."
During the rally earlier, Nitish had said that the people of Bihar will be sending samples of their hair and nails to the Prime Minister's Office for a DNA analysis.
Nitish shared the dais with RJD chief Lalu Yadav, JD (U) national president Sharad Yadav, Samajwadi Party Shivpal Singh Yadav and Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
