Stranded climbers, including Germans rescued from Sarebung peak

All the 20 climbers, including two German nationals, who were stranded following a strong snow storm in Sarebung peak , were rescued on Saturday afternoon.

They were rescued by the Long Rope Rescue Team, reports the Himalayan times.

The German nationals were identified as Tobias Grokenen (48) and his wife Gudrun Ingrid Ziermann (44).

The twenty climbers were trapped in Sarebung Himal on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred while they were climbing down the peak.

Following the incident two choppers of the Simrik Air were dispatched for the rescue operation.
