Janata Dal (United) chief Sharad Yadav on Tuesday said tainted Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) ministers should resign first on the moral grounds, and then, explain themselves.
"When my name and Advani ji's name came up in Hawala scam, we not only gave our resignations, but also decided not to enter the house till our names were cleared..If Sushma ji resigns first, and then talks about the issue, then, she will emerge stronger. On the basis of morality, these people should resign first, and then, explain themselves ," Yadav told media persons.
Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 2 p.m. following the logjam over the Vyapam scam and Lalit Gate.
The Lalit Modi issue figured in the Rajya Sabha for the second day today with both the opposition and the government sticking to their stands.
The House witnessed an unprecedented uproar with the Congress demanding that nothing short of the resignation of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, will satisfy them.
