A new study has revealed that parents are not being able to cope with the increased use of technology used in kids' classroom these days, which ultimately makes them clueless when it comes to homework.
Research conducted by John Lewis showed that four in ten adults admit they don't understand the technology used in the classroom where their kids are being taught, the Daily Star reported.
Ofcom recently revealed that the average six-year-old child understands more about digital technology than a 45-year-old adult and some can operate a smartphone and use the internet on a tablet before they could even fully formulate a sentence.
And as kids get smarter parents feel like they're being left behind. The knowledge gap is greatest among young parents and those whose children are still at primary school. As a result of this almost half of all parents feel their ability to help with homework is suffering as a result.
Drew Buddie, Senior Vice Chair at Naace, the association for the UK's education technology community said that it's not about just shifting traditional lessons onto screens, it's about allowing pupils to make use of their devices to truly enhance their learning while giving teachers better ways to track individual achievement and personalise lessons.
