The Indian army personnel killed a terrorist on the Line of Control in Saujiyan Sector of Poonch early this morning.
At approximately 0430 hours, the alert own troops in Saujiyan Sector of Poonch observed suspicious movement in the vicinity of a post.
Troops immediately challenged the intruder and during the ensuing firefight, one terrorist was killed. The terrorist was carrying some explosives, which detonated as a result of firing by the troops, leading to severe mutilation of the terrorist.
The incident highlights the continued attempts of terrorists to infiltrate across the Line of Control.
This incident is the second attempt by the terrorists in the last three to four days to trespass the Line of Control.
