Tamil Maanila Congress (TMC(M)) on Thursday confirmed that they would not contest elections, adding they would extend support to the O. Panneerselvam led-faction of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK), contesting from Chennai's R.K. Nagar.
"TMC(M) is not going to contest in this election. Panneerselvam asked me to extend support to Madhusudhanan who is contesting in the R.K. Nagar elections. Our party members are also in their support," party president G.K. Vasan said.
The TMC(M) leader informed they would start the election campaign from today followed by a joint campaign on Saturday with Panneerselvam.
