Two teen girls were allegedly gang-raped and later hanged from a tree in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district.
The two girls, who were cousins aged 14 and 15, went missing from their house on Tuesday night.
Their bodies were found hanging from a tree in Katra village in Ushait area on Wednesday morning.
Condemning the incident, National Commission of Women (NCW) member Nirmala Samant, said: "Its a horrific crime, we will be sending a team there to investigate matter."
"Government has promised that they will provide women safety. But it has not fulfilled yet.Till the government doesn't give the example of protection for girls from rape, molestation. Such kind of incident will go on," she added.
