UCWeb Inc., an Alibaba Mobile Business Group Company today announced that users of its flagship product UC Browser will select final commoner participants of the Big Boss house through a popularity poll on UC Browser.
The arrangement is part of the agreement signed between Colors TV and UCWeb earlier this year. Users of UC Browser and UC News will now have access to some of the behind the scene content and unseen footage along with the trivia from the Bigg Boss House.
For the first time ever, the Bigg Boss house will open its doors to contestants from the general public. Makers of the show have shortlisted 13 candidates and UC Browser users have a chnace to make some of these people, celebrities through a poll. The 13 candidates include Nitibha Kual, Manoj Punjabi, Firoz Khan, Manveer Gurjar, Kajol Tyagi from Jaipur, Ludhiana, Noida, Pune, Mumbai and New Delhi amongst others.

The chosen finalists along with the celebrities will be a part of the final show that airs on Oct 16. A special section has been added to the browser, which will have two parts, a Contestants section and a Stars section. The section will include a wacky slogan with each of the contestants' bio and other details. The second section will include details about the celebrities who will be a part of the Bigg Boss house, which will be unlocked on the day before the show starts. The Browser will also offer an exciting sneak peek into the Bigg Boss house and its daily drama by providing unseen footage, upcoming episodes promos, live reactions and celebrity snippets. UC News, a one-stop source of trending and curated news content, will offer its readers exclusive blog posts on Bigg Boss 10 from celebrities and self-publishers.
