Minister of State for Human Resource Development Satyapal Singh on Saturday claimed that Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution was "scientifically wrong" and needed to be changed in all the educational curriculums.
"Our ancestors nowhere mentioned that they saw ape turning into a man. Darwin's theory is scientifically wrong and needs to be changed in schools and colleges. Since the time, a man was seen on earth, he has been a man and will remain a man," Singh told ANI.
The theory states that all species of organisms that arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations help to increase the individual's ability to compete, survive and reproduce.
The theory was developed by Darwin, who was an English naturalist. He is best known for his contributions to the science of evolution.
