In another heart-wrenching mob lynching incident, a man was allegedly beaten to death in Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly city by the villagers on the suspicions of cattle theft.
Shahrukh, who had just returned from Dubai, was lynched to death last night in Bareilly's Bholapur Hadoliya village.
The 20-year-old along with three others had gone out when a group of villagers caught hold of them, suspecting that they had stolen a buffalo.
The police said that he was thrashed by the group while his friends managed to escape.
Shahrukh was admitted to a district hospital in a serious condition, where he later succumbed to injuries.
Superintendent of Police (City) Abhinandan Singh informed that both the sides have lodged FIRs.
He said that Shahrukh's brother has filed a complaint against 20-25 unnamed persons and three of his friends while the other side which alleged buffalo theft have also lodged a case.
