A North Carolina couple, who were married for 61 years, died just hours apart on the same day, this week.
Tommy Greene always told his family that he didn't think he could live one day without his wife, Bea, and it seems that their love was true, the New York Daily News reported.
Bea, 78, died at 6:50 a.m. on Friday, ending a six-month battle against cancer, while her husband Tommy, 79, died from cardiac arrest within seven hours of her death.
The Rock Hill resident was surrounded by some of their five children, eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as he passed away.
Rev. Dave Kiehn, of Park Baptist Church, said that when a pal asked Bea what Tommy would do if she died before him, she replied that she would take him with her.
Tommy, who served in the Army during the Korean War, met and wed the love of his life when they were just teens.
