Dr Hari Singh Gour University, popularly known as Sagar University, on Friday instituted an inquiry commission to look into the varsity's list of important days and dates of 2016 allegedly featuring Pakistan's Independence Day.
Earlier, protesting against the university authorities, students burnt diaries featuring Pakistan's Independence Day.
Doctor Hari Singh Gour Vishwavidyalaya was established on July 18, 1946 by Dr. Sir Hari Singh Gour.
The founder of the varsity Hari Singh Gour was the first vice-chancellor of the University of Delhi.
