Australian middle-order batsman Adam Voges has said that he believes the team's win against India in Jaipur in the third ODI gives them the necessary momentum to shut India out of the remainder of the series.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, a few days before, James Faulkner turned the series on its head by taking 30 runs off one Ishant Sharma over, which has given Australia a 2-1 series lead and a full head of steam.
Winning the remaining four matches would hand Australia the No.1 ODI ranking, relegating India to No.2, and Australian middle-order batsmen Adam Voges believes the time is right to strike, the report said.
Voges said that after the loss in Jaipur, the Australian team was left pretty flat but the way their bowlers came back in Mohali was outstanding.
Voges added that while India's confidence would now be rocked; the Australians had instilled in themselves a belief that any total is manageable, words Rohit Sharma used to describe India's approach after the Jaipur blitz, according to the report.
He also said that it was still a long way to go in the seven match series but they were now confident of chasing down big totals.
