Former Pakistan pace bowler and now Pakistan cricket coach Waqar Younis believes that a disciplined bowling precedes pace as a good bowler should have pace control in the international cricket.
Younis, who led a lethal combination along with compatriot Wasim Akram in 90's, stated that he would be satisfied as long as he has bowlers who are ready to bowl in a disciplined line and length. He believes that it is not just about pace but also about the discipline, PakPassion reported.
According to Younis, one cannot bowl at 150kph every time and go all over the place as it is essential to have pace control. However, he also said that reverse swing in the contemporary cricket would be ineffective if it is not accompanied by the required pace.
