Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Sunday said that under his leadership the state government would be pursuing the same polices as practiced by his predecessor Manohar Parrikar.
"This is not a new government. Our BJP Government was existing there under the leadership of Mr. Parrikar and I was a Cabinet colleague over there, same policies would continue as of now at least," he told ANI.
Earlier on Saturday, Parsekar took oath as the new Chief Minister of Goa after a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislative meeting, where all the MLAs unanimously decided to select him for the top post. His name was proposed by Parrikar and seconded by D'Souza.
Apart from Parsekar, 10 other MLAs took oath as state cabinet ministers at a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in Goa.
